We want to introduce you to Dr Santana – Avazian. She’s a highly skilled and dedicated audiologist committed to providing exceptional hearing care at Provita!
She is the founder of Allegro Hearing. Received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Mogi das Cruzes-Brazil. Subsequently, she received her master’s degree in Audiology from Santa Casa Hospital in 2000 in Brazil.
Dr. Santana Avazian has performed for 12 years as an Audiologist and Researcher in South America. She was an Audiologist member of the Cranium and Oral-Maxillofacial team at the University of São Paulo-Brazil, working with audiological assessment and hearing research with cleft palate and Microtia patients.
Relocated to Florida in 2012, she started her career in the USA and earned her Doctorate Degree in Audiology from Salus University Philadelphia in 2017.
Alessandra is licensed to practice Audiology in the state of Florida in addition has a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech Hearing Association (ASHA).
She earned a Cochlear Implant Advanced Audiology certification from the Institute for Cochlear Implant Training ICIT at Vanderbilt University in Nashville. She was also an Audiologist Cochlear Implant fellow at Aired and National Hospital Medical Research Center in Mumbai – India.
With extensive expertise in hearing diagnostic pediatric and adults, electrophysiological hearing evaluation, Cochlear implant evaluation, programming, Vestibular assessment, and Vestibular rehabilitation. Fitting hearing aids for patients with the most challenging conditions also has extensive knowledge and training to fit advanced levels of hearing technology from reputable hearing aid brands. She has been fitting patients from several countries.
Fluent in English, Spanish, Portuguese, and French, the Dr. provides supportive communication to guide patients through the best hearing device choice during the hearing aid fitting process and strives to ensure that the individual leaves with the optimum hearing experience.
